I have a novice interest in design and UCD. Are you going to submit an idea? I want to submit something but I don't think I will have time. As a users there are tons of things to be desired from a bikes. Over the summer (I was in europe for 2 months) I realized how much bicycle design affects how society views biking and its relation to mainstream culture.

I am definitely going to give it a shot.UCD is cool, if you haven't already you should checkout The Design/Psychology of Everyday Things by Don Normand and Designing Interactions by Bill Moggridge (which can be DL'd free!) You should definitely enter something, even if you just fire out a few sketches or notes I think it's worth while. A lot of Europe has incredible cycling culture. It seems that Europe is way ahead head of NA since cycling is seen as an alternative means of transit not as a mode of transport used by vagrants. I long to spend some time in Copenhagen.
